Starting from seeds

Hi fellow gardeners! I want to try to start everything from seed this year. Do any of you have experience doing that?

I'm saving egg shell halves to use as seed starters. I buy the 18 count in a plastic carrier at Sams- so using the plastic dome top to help retain moisture during germination. Hoping a firmer bottom/shell (instead of dirt pod) will help in transplant later as well as it degrades and feeds the new plant. One key I found over the years is after the stem pops up you will still need to focus on warmth underneath the carrier/tray to encourage root growth. Don't forget to harden off, by exposing to the cooler spring temps before planting outside.
